چکیده
Abstract The growth in the number and types of cloud-based services offered to IT customers is supported by constant entry new actors market consolidation disruptive technologies such as AI, Big Data Micro-services. From customer’s perspective, a landscape where cloud offer highly diversified due presence multiple competing service providers, picking that best accommodate their specific needs critical challenge. Once choice made, so called “cloud orchestration tools” (orchestrators) are required take care customer application’s life-cycle. While big players proprietary orchestrators, literature quite open-source initiatives have launched multi-cloud orchestrators capable transparently managing applications on top most representative platforms. In this paper, we propose TORCH, TOSCA-based framework for deployment applications, both classical containerised, providers. assists defining application requirements using standard specification models. Unlike other adopts strategy separates provisioning workflow from actual invocation API. main benefit possibility add support any platforms at very low implementation cost. present prototypal TORCH showcase its interaction with two different container-based cluster Preliminary performance tests conducted small-scale test-bed confirm potential TORCH.

Automation of application provisioning is one of the key aspects of Cloud Computing. Standards such as the Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) provide a means to model application topologies which can be provisioned fully automatically. Many automated provisioning engines require that these topologies are complete in the sense of specifying all application, p...
متن کاملCloud Resources-Events-Agents Model: Towards TOSCA-Based Applications
The dilemma for domain experts and developers during design time of a cloud application is ensuring the sufficient programming abstractions between them in mapping the business requirements to cloud specifications. Thus, a modeling language is needed to capture and express the business requirements. Resources-Events-Agents (REA) is a well-known business requirement modeling language that decomp...

In order to satisfy end-user requirements, many scientific and commercial applications require access to dynamically adjustable infrastructure resources. Cloud computing has the potential to provide these dynamic capabilities. However, utilising these capabilities from application code is not trivial and requires application developers to understand low-level technical details of clouds. This p...
